Batik is a beautiful and traditional cloth dyeing craft with origins in Indonesia. Over the centuries, cross-cultural exchange has brought batik to countries such as Malaysia, China, India, and parts of Africa. The artisanal practice has developed its own regional identity. As part of the pop-up, Batik Stories have been crowdsourced from all around the world and woven into a collection of tributes that will be available to view in the store window, as well as published as a book above.
